Embodied Radiance

A Movement and Spa Retreat

Dates: January 24 - 29, 2024

Location: Casa Kula, Tzununa, Guatemala

Movement Experience

When we create space and learn to listen, our body becomes our greatest ally, refining our awareness from the inside out.  While many spiritual practices have us going up and out, this retreat is an opportunity to channel the energy down and in to explore a shamanic embodied experience. We will tap into the body’s intelligence that is wise beyond the mind to access our natural, unlimited potential for healing and transformation.

Journey into the sacred temple of the body and discover how you can show up in the world and refine your relationship to yourself through yourself. Building strength in the body has an empowering effect on the mind while finding freedom in your movement allows you to flow into life with more ease, grace and joy.  Allow the body to feel and heal through conscious connection, touch and energetic awareness while developing more stability and equanimity in the mind.

The movement is the medicine. We do not need not to seek anything outside of ourselves for our own healing journey. Allow yourself to let go and feel optimal freedom in body and mind, returning home to the SELF.

Spa Experience

Casa Kula is a healing plant sanctuary nestled in the mountains of rural Guatemala where we can disconnect to reconnect and give ourselves permission to relax, reset and EnJOY.

I built my home here with the idea of it being a true spa like experience in nature. I grow all the herbs we use for scrubs, plant baths, sage smudge and the garden tea we drink.

The Cold River plunge pool was my first manifestation on the land where the water spills over the edge and feeds and nourishes the garden below.

Then came the traditional Mayan Sauna where we sing, sit in silence and offer our prayers in a ceremonial sweat. The combination of the heat and cold plunge really supports the lymphatic and circulatory systems.
